LEARN THE NUANCES OF PERFORMING ARTS AND SHOWCASE A CULMINATING END-OF-CAMP FRIDAY PERFORMANCE.

Disney – Pixar’s Finding Nemo Kids has captured the attention of audiences around the world! Children 7 – 13 years old can now join the cast of this captivating theatrical production by participating in the Performing Arts Camp. They’ll have the chance to shine as part of the cast or crew, developing their confidence and discovering new talents in a supportive and inclusive environment. Campers will showcase their acting chops and creativity with a culminating Friday afternoon performance for family and friends.

At Tahoe Summer Camps, Finding Nemo Kids will feature costumes, props and set pieces that will bring this play’s Great Barrier Reef characters to life. The production follows the story of Marlin, a cautious clownfish, and his adventurous son Nemo. When Nemo is unexpectedly captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin embarks on an unforgettable journey to rescue him. Marlin encounters a variety of characters, including the ever-optimistic Dory, the laid-back Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang. Together, they’ll discover the true meaning of courage, friendship, and self-discovery.

Her work focuses on nurturing innovation and connecting people in our increasingly digital world. Nina’s award-winning theatrical work for young people as CEO of Bay Area Children’s Theatre has reached more than 1 million kids and adults and has toured nationally and internationally.

Director - Michela Muñoz-Brown

Michela Muñoz-Brown has a love for all things performing arts! She studied acting at Whitworth University and graduated with a B.A. in Theatre. Michela has professional musical theatre experience with regional theaters in Nevada and Washington. More recently, she joined Western Nevada Musical Theater Company as Maria in “The Sound of Music”. Michela previously has performed in various Northern Nevada community productions such as “Sideshow”, “A Chorus Line”, and “Little Women”.

In addition to performing, Michela has been involved in the local community as a choreographer, with Truckee Community Theater and North Tahoe High School. In 2024, Michela was proud to join Tahoe Expedition Academy as the music director for Tahoe Summer Camps – as well as for The TEA Players, an after-school theater club. She is looking forward to sharing the joys of performing arts with campers and their audiences alike!
